Can we use the forum accounts [for the Wiki] or is registration required?

Well, title says it all really.

I tried to log in using the same credentials as my forum account, but failed spectacularly (not really, but it sounds more epic this way). Anyway, do we have to register a separate account for the wiki at the moment? And if so, this could be an area to improve things, to link the two accounts, not that I have any idea how.

Yes, you have to create an account for the Wiki as well and can't use the forum account immediately. It's not possible to merge them as the forum is hosted at another place, and even then it would still be difficult.

What you can do though is just register with the same name.
